At David Roberts Physiotherapy we follow the belief that we are only as strong as the individuals we employ. Here’s what some members of our team have to say about working at David Roberts Physiotherapy...
"I joined DRP four and a half years ago having worked in the NHS for the previous three years. From day one, I was made to feel part of the team and that although I wasn’t hugely experienced, that my skills and my opinions were appreciated.
Since then, my career has developed in a way that I would never have thought possible. As a company that rewards hard work, clinical excellence and loyalty, I have been given the chance to develop my skills as a Physio, and a Manager, and be involved in developing the company. I defy anyone to be bored at DRP. On a day-to-day basis, I treat back problems, sports injuries, Whiplash and everything from Headaches to toe pain. If by any chance this isn’t enough to keep you entertained, then your colleagues will. I have worked in all the clinics across Manchester over the years, and all have common features. As clinics, they are welcoming, professional, state-of-the-art centres, offering the best rehabilitation staff and facilities. They are also filled with hard-working, friendly, funny people who have become friends as well as colleagues.
Throughout my time at DRP, my skills as a Physio have developed hugely. Through a mix of experience, working with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced clinicians you could find, internal and external-run courses and constant support, I have grown into a confident and highly skilled practitioner, and look forward to continuing to learn even more and pass my experience to my colleagues. Who knows, it might be you one day!!
On top of my experience treating patients in the clinics, I have managed the day-to-day running of them, and have been involved in marketing and developing them and the business as a whole. As it was in the first few months or working here, my opinion is still sought and respected which makes me feel very much part of the company. I have been fortunate enough to work across Manchester in our clinics, but sometimes on the “occasional” rainy day I, like everyone, dream of being somewhere a little sunnier. Fortunately, working for DRP, this is actually possible. I have been to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France and very briefly Luxembourg (is there another way to go to Luxembourg?), treating some extraordinary people and seeing some amazing (and sunny) places.
I don’t think you’ll find many other companies where you can do all this, but you might be thinking this all sounds great, but you’ve been told what to write as a testimonial. I will share with you a quote from David Roberts when he asked me to write this: “Write what you want, not what you think I want to hear or read”. This sums the company up. Autonomy, respect for others’ skills and opinions and regular, honest contact with the management team, making you feel valued and supported in your development. Come and join the fun!!"
