Beefy’s Great Forget Me Not Walk | Leukaemia Research

Thursday, 12 November 2009

Sir Ian Botham has announced details of his 25th Anniversary Walk to take place around England from April 10th to April 19th 2010.

At the launch of the walk Sir Ian said, Beefys 25th walk logo“I can’t believe it’s 25 years since my first walk for leukaemia. In that time I have covered thousands of miles, met countless incredible people, and along with all your contributions enabled more and more people to survive leukaemia.

I am proud of each and every one of you who has contributed so far. This year we need you to work even harder at supporting Leukaemia Research. With your money we can continue our research and help save more lives. When we started only two out of ten children with leukaemia survived. Now nine out of ten survive.

This is all down to people like you, finding all sorts of inventive ways of raising money. So thank you for all you have done so far, and if this is your first time – good luck.”

Together we can save lives – you can make a difference.

Dave Roberts and the team at David Roberts Physiotherapy is once again delighted to be providing all the medical support for Sir Ian and the team of walkers.
