Dear Mr Roberts
I would like to convey my thanks to Gareth, Claire and the girls on reception for their support during my sessions of physiotherapy, following my car accident in October 2009.
From the beginning of March 2010, when my sessions began, I have progressed as follows:
- Flexibility of my neck and should area, plus lower spine, was such that this restricted me from my everyday activities – even walking was an effort. My yoga classes were difficult to follow and keep fit became an effort too. My weight had increased by one stone, from October 2009, because of my lack of enthusiasm.
- As the sessions progressed, from day to day, I began to notice the difference in so much that from 3 March to 26 March, which was to be my final assessment, I was able to follow my exercise routine with so much more ease. I have lost one and a half inches on my waist and one inch on the hips – bringing my body mass down to 28 from 31. I have since joined ’slimmer’s World’ and my weight is now decreasing with the help of a health eating plan.
I will say that the above would not have been made possible had it not been for the help and support of yourselves at David Roberts Physiotherapy Clinic.
I cannot thank you enough – onwards and upwards for me from now on.
Yours sincerely
Yvonne (Oldham)

“Appointment made immediately and treatment began same day – all staff very helpful, bright and cheerful. Came out of the treatment room much improved and able to face the world again with a smile – husband very happy to see the transformation. Money well spent.”

“A REAL PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE WHICH PUTS THE NEEDS OF THE CLIENT FIRST COUPLED WITH A VERY GOOD AFTERCARE APPROACH.”
” I have used David Roberts Physiotherapy on a number of occasions over the last 15 years, their approach and client care is second to none. As well as treatments for muscular strains they were also very instrumental in supporting me following a very serious medical diagnosis which needed controlled weight loss and a 1 to 1 fitness campaign.
I can’t thank their team enough for such fantastic and caring support and will continue to use their excellent services as and when the need arises”

“I have seen more physio’s than I have had hot dinners over the years – some parts of me will last forever – because they are metal!
When I was eventually forced to undergo a knee replacement last year I was getting nowhere, despite the operation being a successful one – until that is, a friend recommended Dave Roberts.
It didn’t take long to work out that I needed some cajoling to improve the muscle strength around my new knee and he quickly set to work on making me do the correct exercises. As hard and often painful as it was his words of encouragement and positive attitude together with his skills as a physiotherapist made all the difference.
Just knowing that I was doing the ‘right’ thing gave me the confidence to continue in my hectic new life as a racehorse trainer here at Jackdaw’s Castle.”

“I had a skiing accident in January ‘07 which resulted in a damaged cartilage and completely ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament. As my knee was stable, no surgery was deemed necessary, so under the guidance of David Roberts’ and his team I began a programme of rehabilitation and strengthening at the Middleton Physio Gym to compensate for the damaged ligament.
At all times I was confident that I was doing the “right thing” for my condition – I was enjoying the same level of assistance as any of the professional sportsmen looked after by David and his team.
As a testament to what has been achieved I have returned to the same activity levels as before the accident and even returned to the ski-slopes in January ‘08 with no problems. Thank you.”

“Having been a runner for thirty years or more, now as a super vet, fitness & a strong competitive ability are important to me.
In May 2006 in a fell race I suffered serious damage to my Achilles tendon. Expert treatment from Dave and Keith, at The Dave Roberts Physio Practice, together with a carefully crafted & monitored rehabilitation programme restored me to full health & a return to competitive running.
When several months later I developed a persistent calf muscle injury I returned to the Dave Roberts clinic where another member of staff spent quite some time working on the troublesome calf. The following morning I could scarcely believe the improvement. I was almost cured! One further session & I was running again.
I don’t mind which of Dave’s physios treats me, I know the standard of treatment will always be just as exceptional.“

“As a businessman with time restraints it’s vital that when I require physiotherapy treatment the provider not only offers a first class professional service but is mindful of the needs of the individual.
David Roberts and his staff offer that and much more.
A pre requisite for me is time flexibility and the early sessions, ie 7am, enable me to continue my business day uninterrupted, this is a major plus and one of the reasons that whenever I do have need for treatment I always turn to David and his team.”

“Dave Roberts (Rooster as he is known to most of us!) is without doubt one of the finest physiotherapist’s I have ever worked alongside. His honest, no-nonsense, approach has helped me and my body (not to mention my mind), through numerous injuries and major operations over the last 9 years.
Rooster’s expertise, dedication and hard work has transformed my fitness levels significantly and has altered, for the better, my whole approach to the way I deal with injuries and treatment. He is never satisfied until I am 100% fit and back playing for England once again.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending anyone to Rooster and his team – I have put my trust and faith in him with my career and I know from my own experience that everyone receives exactly the same attention – no matter who they are!”

“The treatment and rehabilitation I had with Rooster when I had major back surgery 18 years ago was the most thorough and complete I had ever had – he got me back playing for England again when virtually everyone else had written me off.”
“I had trusted him with my career then and since I retired from the game I have insisted that he accompany me on my marathon charity walks across the country (and overseas) for Leukaemia Research. Walking the equivalent of a marathon a day for 35 days on the trot is incredibly hard. Rooster and his team are an integral part of the success of the walks – for without his expertise, time, and dedication in putting me and the other walkers back together each day it just wouldn’t happen.”
‘He should be proud of his contribution in helping me to raise funds to beat leukaemia and childhood diseases.”
” Oh…and by the way, don’t let him kid you into thinking he does any of the walking! He sits on his a*** in the medical van bringing up the rear.”
