David Roberts Physiotherapy are responsible for all Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Services at Lancashire County Cricket Club.
Under the supervision of David Roberts we provide high quality Physiotherapy, Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition and medical advice to all of the Lancashire players, be that First Team, Second Team, Academy or Emerging Players Squads.
Sam Byrne is the Head Physiotherapist and leads the medical team on a day-to-day basis. He is supported by Dr. Simon Morris (Sports Medicine), Alex Horn (Strength and Conditioning) and Nick Turner (2nd XI Physio).
In addition all players have access to David Roberts Physiotherapy clinics and physiotherapists throughout the Greater Manchester area, ensuring that they are able to get first class treatment and rehabilitation advice even when the teams are engaged on playing days.

Commenting on the Lancashire set up, Sam Byrne said, “Over the last few years we have successfully managed to establish one of the most advanced medical set-ups in County cricket, enabling Lancashire players to get the very best in Physiotherapy, conditioning and nutritional advice.”
“Our links with the Sports Medicine department at Salford University have also enabled us to target and use scientific measures to further improve player fitness and performance.”
“ As a result of these developments Lancashire have been awarded the highest marks by the ECB’s Injury Prevention Management Board – a result the whole team can be very proud of”.
