Several of our Physiotherapists are trained in this approach to restoring function and reducing pain caused by restricted joint movement, changes in tone to muscles or even an excess of spinal/pelvic/ribcage movement.

The technique involves correct positioning and contract/relax of specific muscles to mobilise the joint problem. This approach can be applied to the cervical, lumbarand thoracic spine and also to the ribs and uses the soft tissue to restore joint movement. The approach was developed as an alternative to full manipulation. These techniques are rarely used in isolation and are usually supported with specific stretching and exercise to ensure best long term results.
